What is Medical Skin Needling?
Using a devise to induce collagen production and to reduce scarring. The EDS (Electronic Derma Stamp) machine uses vertical penetration at depths from 0.5mm to 1.5mm; this creates stimulating channels, a process which triggers a collagen-induced response from the skin.
Does it Hurt?
The skin is cleaned and sterilized. We then use local anaesthetic to numb the skin’s surface. The EDS has been specifically designed to make the process much more comfortable than the Dermapen or Dermaroller systems.
What effect Does it Have on the Skin?
The needling process improves the thickness of the dermis, as well as the epidermis, which in return improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation and improves the resolution of scars resulting from acne, chicken pox, surgery and disfigurement. The skin is rejuvenated through improving the appearance of fine lines, shrinking pores and greatly improving the appearance of stretch marks.
When will I see results?
You will see results instantly. Collagen will then continue to increase significantly over the next 6 weeks. This regeneration results in the overall tightening of the skin and its pores and the reduction in unwanted pigmentation. The appearance of your skin will then continue to improve further over the following 6 – 12 months.
